Justice McClanahan Shares the Wisdom of the "72 Hour Rule" with Students

Justice Elizabeth A. McClanahan of the Supreme Court of Virginia recently gave law students valuable pointers on how to manage stress in their lives and careers.

Show Your Support of Law School Veterans Clinics

Members of the National Law School Veterans Clinic Consortium must provide the names of at least 2,000 individuals who support their work in order to receive recognition by the Department of Veterans Affairs.  The Law School's Puller Veterans Benefits Clinic needs about 300 more names by Veterans Day to reach that goal.

Law Students to Host Election Day VOTEline

Members of the Election Law Society are getting ready to host the W&M VOTEline, a nonpartisan voter assistance hotline aimed at responding to local citizens' questions about voting on Election Day.

Leaders Engage with Students at McGlothlin Leadership Forum

Law and business students met with Forum Fellows Patrick Fitzgerald of Skadden Arps, Dan Akerson of LDiscovery, and Ilene Gordon of Ingredion, Inc., through classes and other events during the three-day proceedings in October. The annual forum, now in its sixth year, is the vision of Frances G. '66 and James W. McGlothlin '62, J.D. '64, LL.D. '00.

Internationally Renowned Peruvian Economist Hernando de Soto Honored at 13th Annual Brigham-Kanner Property Rights Conference

The annual conference, held in China in 2011, traveled overseas again, hosting its proceedings at the Peace Palace in The Hague in October. During the event, Hernando de Soto was honored with the 2016 Brigham-Kanner Property Rights Prize.

Trial Team Begins Another Winning Season

A team will advance to the national finals of the ABA Section of Labor and Employment Law's Trial Advocacy Competition in January after taking top honors at the regional competition in Washington, D.C.
