GREETINGS                                   February 2 2017

                                       Towards a Motivating Vision
"Motivating Vision" is the overarching purpose toward which
every congregational participant dedicates 100% of their church resources and personal lifestyles. This congregational destiny becomes a "song in the heart".     - TOM BANDY

Sample visions from other congregations who have been through this process are:

"Putting Wings on Weary Hearts"
"Rivers of Life"
"Summer in the Soul"
"God's Northern Light "
"Crossroads"
"Open Hands, Open Hearts, Open Spirits"

Who knows what Marshall's song might be? There are fifteen different 'vision' texts from the Bible in circulation. If you got one last week and have done your meditation upon it, bring it back and pick up a different one this Sunday. Keep trading in your texts and making notes on each different one.   Remember that you can also participate in any one of my Round Table Talks to help discern this vision. Bring your text to the table and I will offer some guidance and encouragements for reflecting upon it. When you have a word or phrase to suggest as Marshall's motivating vision, hand it in to a member of the Transition Team or our Church Office. These phrases will be transferred to an "emerging vision" wall-chart until the time comes to gather together to choose the one "song" that resonates loudest and best with most of us. Pray that God's Spirit will be with us as we move through this phase of our time of transition.
Transition Team members are:   Leah Abbey, Charlotte Stewart, Peter Marshall, Irene Gaerdes, Martha Forbes, Bob Drennan, Barbara Mahaffy, and Harry Disher.

THOUGHTS & PRAYERS
In our thoughts and prayers are Judy VanDuzer, Connie Kuntz, Geoffrey Parkinson (nephew of Patricia Bradshaw) and Alyssa Hobbins (Patricia's great-grandchild.)
