Thoughts and Prayers
In our thoughts and prayers are Rev. Étienne and David Paton

We offer our condolences to the family of Don Mahoney who passed away on November 23rd.  Please remember this family in your prayers in the days and weeks ahead.

THANK YOU: Peter and Shelley Marshall would like to thank each member of the congregation for the support, kindness and prayers offered for us during the weeks since our son Alex's passing.  The power and comfort brought by these acts is cherished.  Blessings to all.

ADVENT
ADVENT BEGINS DECEMBER 1ST
Advent begins this Sunday, and while it is unrealistic to expect to totally avoid the chaos of Christmas preparations, we'd like to offer you some opportunities to make a little space in your world for some hope, peace, joy and love as we wait and prepare for the birth of our Messiah, Jesus.

Advent Candles: available for $12 a set, you receive 4 Advent candles, a Christ candle, a booklet of short daily devotions and some prayer suggestions for candle lighting. Available in the foyer on Sundays or through the Church Office.

Daily Scripture Reading: is available here and in the foyer with short readings each day beginning December 1, through December 24.

BONUS: follow our daily Facebook reflections on the readings in our private group, Members and Friends of Marshall Memorial. (If you are not a member of the group and would like to be, message Richard Hamilton on Facebook to receive an invitation.)

Advent Bible Study: this year we are offering a free pdf download of our Advent Bible Study, Promise of the Messiah. Paper copies are available in the foyer.

BONUS: join a discussion group to enhance your learning - Mondays at 10:30 am, Tuesdays at 7 pm, Wednesdays at 1 pm and 7 pm and Fridays at 9 am, all at the church. Sign up on the bulletin boards across from the Minister's office, or just show up! Sessions begin the week of November 25 and run until the week before Christmas (4 sessions).
