Ancaster Community Food Drive
Last year a team of Marshall volunteers (men, women & youth) participated in the Ancaster Community Food Drive.  The Food Drive is coming up soon, and again this year we will take part in this amazing community initiative.  As in the past, we will be given several routes to take care of, depending on the number of volunteers that we have on our team.  Our routes are usually in the vicinity of the church.
On the morning of Saturday, February 23 we will distribute flyers to homes on our various routes.  On the morning of Saturday, March 2 we will pick up food donations and deliver them to the Ancaster Fairgrounds.
The activity involves walking and carrying food bags.  Also, on March 2 we will need a driver for each route. If you (and other family members) would like to help out as part of the Marshall Team, please sign up on the notice board list in the foyer or let Dave Putnam know ([email protected]).  Also, indicate if you can attend on Feb 23, Mar 2, or both days.

Lenten Pilgrimage:  Invitation to a Journey - A Roadmap for Spiritual Formation

Each of us is being spiritually formed all the time. The question is: Who is directing the process? Is it the world, constantly telling us how we are to live and what we are to value? Or is it God, our Maker, Sustainer and Redeemer?

God calls each of us into the process of being formed into the likeness of Christ for the sake of others, so that we can truly Walk in God's Way and Serve in God's World.

Our effectiveness in this mission as a church depends on the spiritual health and maturity of each of our members. This is why the Christian Development Committee has made Spiritual Formation a critical priority for everyone at Marshall.

During the coming Lent and Easter seasons, the Christian Development and Worship Committees are planning some amazing opportunities for you to grow closer to Jesus Christ. By thinking of our faith development as a pilgrimage - an intentional journey toward God with a community of travelers - we encourage everyone to take that one next step.

In the next few weeks, you will be hearing more, but here's a way to start - order a copy of the resource we will be using as a guidebook. Sign up is starting this week! We want to make sure we can get the books in time for the start of Lent on Wednesday, March 6th, so orders need to be in no later than February 15th.
