Leaders of the Year - The Jetty

The Marshfield Massachusetts Chamber of Commerce held its Leaders of the Year ceremony on Tuesday, July 18th at The Jetty - Marshfield. We enjoyed a night of community, recognition, and wonderful spirit! We had great entertainment by the Acoustic Tandem and special thanks to the Jetty staff for their great service, great food, and attentiveness to our guests!
Ann Gillespie received the Marshfield Chamber of Commerce 2022 Citizen Leader of the Year award for her work enriching the lives of countless residents of Marshfield and folks from the surrounding communities.
Karrie Greene, received the Marshfield Chamber of Commerce 2022 Business Leader of the Year award for her work creating a positive, beautiful, and informed community, her commitment to the town's success, and her dedication to Marshfield's nonprofit organizations.
Our sincere congratulations to Ann and Karrie for their selfless contributions to the community!

Women in Business - Pembroke School of Performing Arts
Thursday, August 17th
The Marshfield Massachusetts Chamber of Commerce Women in Business Group gathered at the Pembroke School of Performing Arts for a night of learning Hip-Hop with their instructor Julia. Hip-hop dance is a vibrant form of dance that combines a variety of freestyle movements to create a cultural piece of art. Through its three main styles of popping, locking, and breaking, hip-hop dance has evolved into one of the most popular and influential styles of dance.

Thanks to our dedicated members and generous sponsors, particularly Superior Lobster & Seafood, Marshfield Lobsterfest 2023 was a phenomenal success. Local food vendors and artists showcased their best offerings, proving once again that Marshfield is a hub of culinary and artistic excellence. Attendance was steady at approximately 5 thousand people and we hosted a record number of volunteers from across the community. We are so proud to showcase our beautiful coastline throughout the event and love hearing from residents and visitors alike how much they enjoy the view of the Harbor during the event. The date for LobsterFest 2024 will be announced soon!!

Member Non-Profit Spotlight
Sowing Seeds

Sowing Seeds is a local charity located in Marshfield. More than 100 volunteers continue to provide needed services to Marshfield residents and have done so for over 27 years. These services are provided at no cost to their clients. The clothing bank serves over 500 registered clients and is open most Thursdays and Saturdays from 10:00 am to noon. It is located on the corner of Plain St. (Rte. 139) and School St. Sowing Seeds also provides free transportation for clients to medical and other appointments as well as to supermarkets. They also transport to Boston hospitals. A 72 hour notice is required by calling the dedicated phone line at 781.837.3337. They are also able to locate furniture for clients in need.
The most important service provided is financial assistance to those in need. Sowing Seeds can help with rents, medical bills, utility bills and auto repairs. By calling the line at 781.837.3337 and leaving a brief message, a volunteer will arrange to meet with the client to do an in-depth assessment to determine where Sowing Seeds might be able to help. Sowing Seeds also works closely with all of the other charities and non-profits in the area to insure that the needs of their Marshfield clients are addressed. There is never a charge for any of their services.

A Message From Shoreline Aviation! | |

Shoreline Aviation associates helped South Shore Home, Life & Style magazine and the South Shore Chamber of Commerce rock the evening September 13, at Weathervane Golf Club in Weymouth. The setting was the second annual BOSS Bash, celebrating the Best of the South Shore.
Best Local Airline/Airport went to Shoreline Aviation/Marshfield Municipal Airport KGHG, up against competition from the Cape to Rhode Island to Boston. Shoreline was represented at the fun-filled event by Lisa Scharoun, left, Keith Douglass, and Erin Mulcahy. The Shoreline team networked with other BOSS winners and fellow South Shore Chamber members and enjoyed the tastings of several outstanding restaurants, bakeries, distilleries, and brewers.
Shoreline is the fixed base operator (FBO) of the airport, which means it’s the company that manages KGHG for the town of Marshfield. Shoreline also operates a global charter flight service, a renowned aircraft maintenance department, aircraft sales and management services, and flight instruction. Shoreline, headquartered in Marshfield, has an office in Palm Beach, FL. The company operates a fleet of turboprop, and light, medium and large jet aircraft, flown by highly experienced, licensed pilots.
