We thrive in serving our birthing community and we want nothing more than our families to feel empowered and supported when giving birth. This includes families from all backgrounds regardless of their race, ethnicity, income or sexual orientation.
In order to achieve, we have decided to launch a Community Doula Program, which will be coordinated by Margo Keane.
What is a doula? A doula is person who is employed to provide guidance and support to a pregnant person before, during and after labor.
Margo will be recruiting people from our community, training them to be doulas, and pairing those doulas with pregnant people.
Interested in becoming a doula? Please send Margo an email at mkeane@mchealthystart.org or join an informational session.
