FACESOFDEVOTION: A SECOND CHANCE
Hear one man’s journey from pain and addiction to freedom and joy. The transformation of Robert’s life started with a simple prayer. If one short prayer can change a man’s entire life, imagine how joining our prayers and Rosaries can change the world.

THE POWER OF PRAYER
How did the Feast of the Holy Rosary get its name? And what is its connection to Fatima and the United States? Find out here. You'll be surprised.

READY AND ABLE
Follow two newly ordained Vincentian priests during their first year of ministry. This candid documentary captures the joy of living a vocation, the challenges of serving others, and how to find hope during a pandemic.

Frs. Leo Tiburcio, CM, and Luis Romero, CM, are young Vincentian men on a mission to “serve Christ in the poor.” With unfettered access and honest commentary, we followed them on their first-year journey that was a decade in the making. From being hometown celebrities, to praying over patients in hospitals, to ministering in the "new world" of a global pandemic, one thing is clear: These men are ready and able.
SAVE the DATE for our SOLEMN NOVENA
Be sure to mark your calendars for our Solemn Novena to Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal, from November 16 through 24. The theme this year is Men on a Mission – Nine Young Vincentians Go to China, 1921.

Our preacher, Fr. Timothy Lyons, CM, is planning an amazing experience.
You'll be captivated by the stories of these young Vincentians who brought the Gospel of Christ, their deep love for Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal, and the story of St. Catherine Labouré and her encounter with the Blessed Mother, to China in 1921. Hear about their mission, see some of their artifacts, and learn how the difficulties they faced can help us through our own challenges.

Send us your prayer intentions by November 10, so we can place them at Mary’s Altar. They will remain there during these nine days of powerful prayer and on Mary’s Feast Day, Wednesday, November 25. Our Masses will be livestreamed, but you can still pray with us no matter where you are. Be sure to check back to our Solemn Novena page in the next few weeks to see all of the details.
INSPIRATIONAL EVENTS
There are plenty of virtual events going on at the Shrine beginning on October 22, with a Holy Hour where we'll pray a Rosary for our country together. Don't miss this chance to unite your prayers with others, and make a powerful impact on our country.

On Saturday, October 24, you'll learn how to navigate through our challenging times at a Virtual Leadership Retreat with presenters from St. Raymond of Penafort Church in Philadelphia. Sponsored by The Miraculous Medal Shrine, you'll get practical tools for addressing our current struggles while remaining true to Christ and His Church.

Beginning November 3, we'll have the first virtual meeting of our "Read Between the Wines" book club. Share your thoughts and insights with fellow readers as we delve through each chapter of Fr. Walter Ciszek's captivating novel, He Leadeth Me.

My only child decided to forego college and enlist in the US Army. While this is a very noble career, my heart was wrought with fear and anxiety that the pressures placed on him were going to be too demanding physically or emotionally, and he would need me but I wouldn’t be able to be there. There were many sleepless nights, and days I couldn’t focus on work.

A few weeks before he left for boot camp, was the feast of the Assumption of Mary into heaven. To really examine Mary’s life - as Jesus’ Mother - and what she had to endure, made me realize that I would be able to get through my son’s basic training. That day was such a catharsis. I am no way as holy as Mary and am not comparing my son to Jesus, but for the Mother of Jesus to endure watching her son tortured and killed, I should be able to make it through boot camp. I began to make peace with my son’s decision and look to Mary for guidance and support.

The next day, I went to the Catholic store for a Miraculous Medal that I wear every day since my son is gone. The store also had a one-decade rosary made from camouflage parachute cord that I gave to my son to take with him. Since then, I listen to a rosary every day. My son told me he prays every night with his decade and has since asked for a full rosary.

This separation has been hard on both my son and me, but we’ve both looked to Mary for support and guidance. I doubt either one of us would be in the peaceful place we are now without the intercession of Mary. I never thought I’d get through it but now it’s only 18 days until graduation. My heart is full of love and pride for my son, and gratitude to Mary for getting us both through this! I know that if Mary can endure, so can I.
