PDE Science Summit!
Our science team attended the Partner for the Delaware Estuary Science Summit, where our Environmental Scientist, Amanda Poskaitis, presented on the Bishopville Stream Corridor Enhancement Project. 
Save the Date for Bay Day at Ocean Pines!
Join the Maryland Coastal Bays Program and the Ocean Pines Association on May 5th from 11:30 to 3:30 pm at White Horse Park for a day of fun, hands-on activities and educational talks about how watershed residents can make a difference right in their own backyards. From bay-friendly backyard guidance to educational exhibits, this day is sure to entertain!  
Burley Oak Charity Night
Our Charity Night at Burley Oak on January 21st was a HUGE success! There was good conversation, beer, and fun had by all. A big thank you to Burley Oak, our ever-willing host, the community for supporting our wonderful Coastal Bays, our guest bartenders and musicians, and our amazing donors for the auction items. We raised over $1,300!
Summer Internship Opportunity
We're hiring for a summer intern!

MCBP is seeking qualified applicants for a paid summer internship with a focus in environmental science.  We are looking for highly motivated, upper level undergraduates or recent graduates majoring in environmental science, environmental studies, biology, or other related fields.

Educator Workshop
Project WILD and Aquatic WILD workshop a success!

Last month, MCBP and the Ward Museum of Wildfowl Art partnered to deliver a Project WILD/Aquatic WILD training to 16 educators. Our 16 educators included formal teachers, interpreters, informal educators, and working parents! This interdisciplinary training focuses on hands-on conservation and environmental activities and lessons for K-12 students. If you are interested in attending an education workshop, stay tuned for more this fall.
Terrapin Survey 
Save the dates for our Annual Terrapin Survey!

Join us from Tuesday, May 28th from Saturday, June 1st for this year's Terrapin Survey. Survey from land, boat, or kayak to help us determine the population status of diamondback terrapins in our Coastal Bays! 

Trainings will be offered Monday, May 13th and Wednesday, May 22nd from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the MCBP office.
