June 10th!!
Kick off the summer with these great STEM focused events.
Join the Festival and thousands of attendees at the Magic of Science Fair and Family Festivalat the Tune Center at Harford Community College at 11 am. Drop by our table for some fun activities and giveaways. For more information about the event here.
Game4Good is running the hybrid eSports and Robotics Festivalfrom June 5th through June 10th. The live portion of the event takes place on June 10th at the Digital Harbor Foundation building in Baltimore. The eSports and Robotics Festival proceeds go to support the Baltimore Robots. If that is enough, the National Cryptologic Foundation and Maryland Institute of Security and Innovation are hostingCyber Saturday, an event for 5th through 9th graders. Find out about this free event to encourage awareness of the cybersecurity field taking place at Dreamport in Columbia here
Awesome Con!
We are counting down the days to Awesome Con. Three days and nights of pop culture fun with LaVar Burton, Billy Dee Williams, Elijah Wood, Sean Astin and others from the Marvel, Star Wars and Dr. Who Universes. We are very excited to be part of Awesome Con 's10th year at the DC Convention Center from June 16-18. We would love to see you there! We are booth 502 in the Science Fair section. Costumes not required, but encouraged!
Solistice Saturday
We will be wrapping up June participating in the Summer Solistice event on the Washington D.C. Mall on June 24th. Looking forward to an entertaining and educational night of parties, programs and performances. This event is a run project of the Smithsonian Institute and Hofstra University’s Department of Physics and Astronomy. The event starts at 6 pm.

Every Wednesday, we will be posting a new episode of the Fun with the Maryland STEM FestivalPodcast. Each 30-minute episode will feature a Maryland adult and a Maryland student who is significantly involved in STEM. Last week’s Podcast his episode includes interviews with Darnell Washington of the National Cryptologic Foundation and High School student Mary Kuczajda. Darnell discusses his diverse experience with and views on Cybersecurity and the Cyber Feud program. Mary discusses her experiences with the Robo Lions of Carroll County.
Calling 2023 Festival Hosts
Would you like to host a Festival event to share your STEM passion and expertise? Now is the time to start planning and register. We encourage everyone to become part of the STEM Festival community. Libraries, Public and Private schools, Colleges, Universities, Museums, STEM enrichment centers are some of the organizations that have participated in the Festival. Join them! Ambassador Program
The Festival has a program for middle and high school students to support and promote the Festival. This program provides an excellent, fun learning experience that helps develop leadership skills. Ambassadors also have to opportunity to become part of the Maryland STEM Festival Board of Director. Learn more about the program here. Did we mention this looks great on a college resume.
