Welcome new members Chris Miller and Troy Hill with Iron Mountain. Thank you for the tour of your 165,000 square-foot, 10.5-megawatt multi-tenant, cloud facility located in Prince William County. Northern Virginia marks Iron Mountain’s fifth U.S. data center market, joining Boston, Denver, Kansas City and Western Pennsylvania.

Government Affairs Bootcamp Recap

To ensure leaders of organizations that make up the Maryland Tech Council have the tools and resources they need to be effective advocates for their industry, MTC hosted Government Affairs Bootcamps for life sciences and technology company executives to learn how to work within the legislative process to strengthen the business ecosystem and defend innovation.

Speakers discussed the basics of advocacy and lobbying to help leaders formulate a strategy around the kinds of policies CEOs would like enacted in Annapolis and Washington, D.C., especially within the life sciences and technology industries.

Maryland Tech Council Venture Mentoring Services - Connecting Entrepreneurs with Business Experts

We are now recruiting mentee companies to participate in the Maryland Tech Council Venture Mentoring Services (MTC VMS) Program. MTC VMS is based on a team mentoring approach modeled after the highly-successful MIT Venture Mentoring Service which has been implemented in more than 84 communities around the globe.

Vision Technologies Makes Giving a Reality for TAPS

Vision Technologies, Inc. (Vision), a leading systems integrator, recognizes the importance of giving back to the community. Each year, Vision selects a charity to support and makes an impact through various fundraisers. The Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS) was at the top of Vision’s list for its Making Giving a Reality campaign in 2018, with Vision and its teammates donating over $70,000!

TAPS offers compassionate care to all those grieving the loss of a military loved one.
