~ Mingle for Maryvale 10th Anniversary Gala ~

This years "Mingle for Maryvale" marked a decade of impact!

For over 10 years our valued community partner, Stigma Enigma has been dedicated to generating awareness for mental health, combating the stigma of mental illness, and raising funds on our behalf, ensuring that more youth receive the mental health treatment they need.

The evening was a chance to gather and celebrate such an important milestone. One that was achieved through years of goodwill, dedication, and selfless philanthropy.

Thank you Stigma Enigma committee members past and present!

We also had the distinct pleasure of hosting former NFL quarterback Erik Kramer who shared his own mental health story. Erik was candid about his personal history and trauma, that often intertwined with a remarkable sporting career. His dealings with tragedy have lead him to a space of hope, and he now champions mental health advocacy across North America. Thank you Erik for sharing!

The evening was an incredible success that culminated in $50,000 being raised for youth programs and services at Maryvale. An achievement that could not have happened without our generous supporters and sponsors:

Tips for Raising Teens

Keep Communication Going - Because we’re often busy and distracted, we don’t always take the time to really focus on our kids when they’re trying to tell us something. Take advantage of the time you have together. Having dinner together as a family, using car time to talk, or chatting before bed are good ways to stay in daily touch with your teen. Prioritize quality time as well as quantity: Consider having breakfast out on the weekend as a special catch-up time to chat about the week. Or schedule monthly “family meetings” to discuss how things have been going and any conflicts that have arisen.
