Are you making a good first impression?
Janis Kliethermes
Etiquette Kansas City
Wednesday, November 8th
Sessions begin at 11 a.m., 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.

Employers are looking for more than good grade points and work experience, they are looking for people with common sense. Do you know the correct way to make an introduction? Is your body language sending the wrong message? Did you know that you can affect a business deal if you eat Continental Style vs. American Style? Which side do you find your bread plate? Find out the answers to these questions and more, and see if you are making the best first impression.
Are you Change-Ready or Change-Resistant?
Cathy Newton
Living in Full Swing
Tuesday, November 14th
Sessions begin at 11 a.m., 2 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.

Change is happening at lightning speed. It is pervasive and variables are uncertain. Are you change-ready or change-resistant? Don't hunker down in resistance when it could affect your reputation, your performance, and the quality of service you provide. Confront your own biases on change. Learn pro-active methods to support others in shifting change-resistance to change-readiness. And learn personal strategies to attune your own mindset towards change. Risk it!
The How of Happiness
B.K. Taylor
Wellness Services
Thursday, November 30th
Sessions begin at 9:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m., or 4 p.m.

Happiness is not a destination; it is a state of mind, a choice. You must first choose to be happy rather than any alternative. One sure fire way to do this is to set your mind to "happy-mode" by practicing the art of living intentionally and making that process a habit. No matter what your circumstances are, you can boost your level of happiness by taking charge of your life and using the habits outlined in this presentation. This program is built upon the foundations of positive psychology and the works of those like Dr. Martin Seligman. Put these foundations into practice in your daily life and you'll find yourself more productive in your work, more loving in your relationships and overall: more happy!
