Dear Members,

On Wednesday, July 22, Governor Walz stated that masks will be required indoors for public spaces beginning Saturday, July 25. This includes the Fergus Falls YMCA.

It is important to know a few things about wearing a mask at the Y:

  • Masks will need to be worn when entering the building, in common spaces, and when leaving.
  • Masks are not required during exercising. The mask can be left off between exercises but should be worn in common areas and when switching from area to area.
  • Masks are not required while showering, swimming or in the pool area.
  • Masks do not need to be worn during outdoor activities.
  • Group Exercise instructors and lifeguards will not be wearing masks while actively working. Please maintain at least 6 feet of physical distancing when speaking with them and others who are exercising.

We are all in this together.

We continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation and will follow guidance from public health officials and government agencies, so we can continue to support our members and the community as needed.

Sincerely,

Eric Price
