Mask Use at Clubhouse
The state-wide mask mandate will likely be lifted this weekend and the Salt Lake County Council will be deciding if they will continue a mandate in its place in the next day or so. Although this mandate is being removed, Governor Cox has also stated that businesses can choose to require masks, social distancing and other precautions. CDC recommendations including wearing masks, social distancing and sanitizing high touch surfaces remain in place.
The Board of Directors, along with the CCMC management company recognize that residents are operating at different comfort levels related to our state and community reopening and have considered this when making the decision to require masks and social distancing, along with previously announced safety guidelines, at the Clubhouse, association office and association-related events and activities for the time being. We ask that you please wear a mask when coming to the gym and/or office and to continue practicing social distancing. Masks are not required, however, when working out in the gym.

As more and more vaccines are distributed in the coming weeks and months, these policies will be reevaluated and updated as needed. The safety of our residents and staff is of the utmost importance to us and we want the amenities that available to you to be safe for everyone to use. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding on this matter
Wild Fire Season
With the warmer weather comes a higher danger of fires in our area. Add to that the severe drought we're facing this summer and the chances of wildfires grows much higher. Please remember there are simple steps you can take around your home to reduce the risk of fire.

Check out the Firewise program at Draper City's website for more information. As always, fireworks of any kind are not permitted in SunCrest at any time of year.
Board of Trustees Meeting
Please join us for the next scheduled Board of Trustees meeting on April 28th.

In order to verify the residency of those in attendance, we ask that you pre-register for the Board Meetings. Once you do that for the first meeting, it will automatically approve you for future meetings for the year. A meeting link will be provided to you once registration is approved. To register, visit the link below.
Lawn Maintenance
With warmer, Spring weather around the corner, it's time to start thinking about lawn maintenance. As you may be aware, Governor Cox recently declared a state of emergency due to the lack of water received this winter. It will be important to be water-wise this summer to help conserve water. Please remember, however, that artificial turf and lawn paint are not allowed here in SunCrest and are not viable options for the replacement of sod.

Trees in Park Strip
Did you know that it is required by Draper City code that every home has at least one tree planted in the park strip? This is a part of the inspection that is performed when you are looking to sell your homes. If you need suggestions on the type of tree to plant, feel free to reach out, as we have several species that do well in our growing zones.

At-Home Soil Testing
It is vital that your soil has the proper pH, salinity levels, and soil texture in order for plants, trees, and grass to grow. Utah State University offers a test you can complete on your own to measure those crucial levels and will let you know what changes you need to make in order to have successful landscaping around your home. Just like having too little of a nutrient, you can also have too much. This test will also give you that information so you're not adding things that are not needed. You can visit their website to learn more about this testing that is available to you.
