We invite you this morning  for 10 am worship as we kick off the Season of Lent.  Together, we journey to the cross and the empty tomb of Easter. Draw near to God, detach from what holds you bound and experience this holy  and impactful time together with us.

PRAYERS
John 6:11:  Jesus took the loaves, gave thanks, and distributed them to those who were seated, as much as they wanted.  Then He did the same thing with the fish.

TIME TO FILL THE CHOIR LOFT FOR PALM SUNDAY  AND EASTER!
I want to invite YOU to consider joining the choir for a short term commitment to sing for Palm Sunday and/or Easter. No auditions!  All I ask is for you to have a desire to add your voice to the choir to glorify God through the music that is sung.  If you would like to join the choir for these two special Sundays, I invite you to begin coming to rehearsals on Wednesday evenings at 7 p.m., beginning March 11. Anthems for these two Sundays will be rehearsed at the top of the rehearsal. The choir will sing two dynamic Palm Sunday anthems on April 5, and two exciting anthems with trumpet and piano or organ for Easter, April 12.

Please see me after worship and say YES to singing in the choir for this special short term commitment!  Questions? Email me at cbaird@masonumc.org .

COMMUNITY CUPBOARD
Let's fill the Community Cupboard for the month of March!
A group of churches in the community are now joining forces to take on a particular month of the year in order to keep the cupboard located in the back of the Mason UMC parking lot full for those in need. March is the month for Mason UMC to stock the cupboard. For a full list of items to donate, you may pick up a list in the lobby and bring by your donations!

QUEEN CITY SOUP KITCHEN
Mason UMC has an opportunity to be sent on mission on Saturday, April 11 to serve those who need a meal. Queen City Kitchen on Vine Street in Cincinnati is a place that serves many experiencing homelessness and/or experiencing other needs. Those who come to serve are the ones truly blessed. We need smiling faces and helping hands to prepare meals, load plates and pass them to the guests.

Also consider inviting someone you know (especially if they are not involved in church) to come with you. This type of experience is often a gateway to finding Jesus. Beginning with prayer, please consider this request.

We meet at the church At 9:45 a.m. to carpool together. We will be back to the church by approximately 2:00 p.m. Wear closed toed shoes and clothes to work in.

We also need cookies (preferably bagged in sandwich bags: 2-3 cookies/bag). The guests love our home baked cookies! Cookies can be left in a bin in the kitchen by the sanctuary the week before April 11. If you can bake any amount of cookies and/or if you can attend on Apr.11 with or without someone to accompany you, please contact Kristen Smith at kristenandjeffsmith@gmail.com or call or text 513-407-2028.

INTERFAITH HOSPITALITY NETWORK
We will be providing a meal for Interfaith Hospitality Network on Monday, March 23.2020.  You can help with this ministry by signing up to work that evening or to provide a food item.  Sign up at the Welcome Desk in the lobby. Thank you in advance for your help!
