Kicking Off a New School Year of Innovation & Connection with MassCUE

I hope you had a wonderful summer! I am so excited to begin this new school year with MassCUE. Over the past weeks, I’ve had the privilege of connecting with many of you—and your energy, passion, and ideas for the future of our organization inspire me every day.

Together with our Board of Directors, we are focused on growing our membership, partnerships, and professional learning opportunities to ensure that every educator finds something meaningful in MassCUE.

MASSCUE FALL CONFERENCE

Are you a Technology/IT Director or Network Admin? MassCUE is hosting corporate Focus Groups with CDW, Fortinet, and Ockers during Session 1 (Wednesday, Oct. 15, 10–11 am).

Share your expertise on topics like cybersecurity, network planning, cloud management, and more.

AI PALOOZA SUCCESS

On Aug. 6, we kicked off the year with a fantastic AI Palooza at Holyoke Community College. More than 60 attendees explored how emerging AI technologies can transform teaching and learning. A huge thank you to our staff, presenters, and sponsors—Brisk Teaching, edia, JFYNetworks, MagicSchool, and SchoolAI—and to our partners at The Collaborative for Educational Services for making the day both engaging and rewarding.

MassCUE is proud to honor Gail Ross-McBride as September’s Featured Educator.

With more than 25 years of experience in professional development, instructional technology, and educational leadership, Gail has helped shape how educators across Massachusetts—and beyond—use technology to enhance learning. A longtime MassCUE leader, past Board Vice President, and Pathfinders Award recipient, Gail continues to inspire through her work as Director of EdTechTeacher services, where she designs customized PD to meet schools’ unique needs.

Join fellow school leaders and legislators on Tuesday, Oct. 8, 1–2 p.m. at the State House (in person or virtually) for a panel on H.4405: Student & Educator Data Privacy. This bill establishes key safeguards for how schools and vendors handle sensitive information.
