MassChallenge HealthTech Celebrates Four Massachusetts Companies at Finale Event
Four Massachusetts companies took home prizes at the MassChallenge HealthTech Finale event. 1upHealth, a patient data aggregation platform, took home not one but two awards, including the big $100,000 Diamond Award. Other winners include Pixm, a cybersecurity startup focused on stopping phishing attacks and Marigold Health, a text-based group therapy app. Harvard Pilgrim Health Care received the inaugural “Champion of the Year Award”. Food as Medicine Gets a Scalable Software Solution
New software and services are being developed to enable healthcare providers, health systems, payers and employee health benefit providers to quickly generate a personalized nutrition program for a patient based on their health condition. Software developed by Lighter, a Massachusetts based company and part of the 2019 MassChallenge HealthTech cohort, can integrate with grocery delivery vendors such as Amazon, Instacart, and Peapod for added convenience. Participate in Nationwide Startup Research by NYU
NYU School of Law is conducting a nationwide survey on the regulatory challenges faced by technology startups. This large scale survey, believed to be the first of its kind, will help inform policy recommendations and is open through July 8th. Take five minutes and participate here .

  • UnitedHealth Group acquired PatientsLikeMe, a Cambridge based company. PatientsLikeMe’s online platform offers those with a chronic condition the opportunity to track and share symptoms and treatment experiences, contribute data for research and connect with others who are going through similar situations.Terms of the deal have not been disclosed.
