Quarterly Newsletter l Q4 2019
Hello Security Community Members!

I can’t believe the year is coming to an end. We’ve had some really good programs on topics ranging from working side by side with your marketing team, regulatory updates on GDPR and CCPA, and employee burnout. As 2020 approaches, I am working with the community co-chairs to pair down the noise and bring you the most useful information through events, webinars and videos, and articles. To best meet your objectives, we’ve put together a short survey to help us identify the best topics and delivery methods. I promise, it should not take more than 3 minutes of your time.

Starting last year and for the next two, MassTLC is working with Bay Path University, part of the American Women’s College, to connect them with security industry hiring managers and talent professionals to help them align the curriculum of Bay Path’s online program with the needs of employers. You can read more about the effort here and expect to hear more from me over the next 24 months as I will need your help! This work is not only a component to help with your talent constraints, but it will also help to close the gender gap.

We’ve also been approached by Burning Glass who is working with Aspen Institute on some of their cybersecurity initiatives and is interested in recruiting some individuals for their working group. Please let me know if you are interested.

I am happy to recognize the security category finalists from the MassTLC Leadership Awards that took place in November: iBoss , Mimecast , ReversingLabs , and Silverside Detectors (winner). And also a shout out to our security companies that were up for company of the year categories, including: Akamai , CyberArk , and Mimecast .

And as always, if you have ideas for programs, thought leadership pieces to contribute, or just want to connect, please reach out!

Best regards,

Sara Fraim
