Quarterly Newsletter l Q1 2020
Hello Security Community Members!

First off, I would like to congratulate the many members who were recipients of Cyber Defense Magazine’s 2020 InfoSec Awards: Cervello, Cyberark, Cybereason, LogMeIn, Microsoft, Nuance, Onapsis, ReversingLabs, Threat Stack, VMware Carbon Black, Veracode.

Last month, MassTLC represented our region in Washington, DC at the TECNA Policy conference where Marc French, CISO at Product Security Group and Stephanie Helm, the Director at Mass Cyber Center joined with DHS for a panel on security and resiliency plans for public infrastructure. It was a great time to spotlight the amazing work the MA Cyber Center is doing to help prepare all cities and towns in the Commonwealth for a breach.
We have some great informational sessions in the planning. Next week is our first Tech & Innovation unConference, which is such a cool event we created a "what to expect" piece that you can read here . We’ll also be following up on our Privacy and Security series at Foley Hoag where we will focus specifically on CCPA and what to expect from other states passing privacy protection regulations. We’ll also be holding a table-top event this summer.

For the remainder of the year, I’ll be spotlighting a shining star in our tech and security communities. This month, I’m excited for you to meet Liz Miller, Sr. Director of Engineering in Risk Technology at Capitol One. Check out Liz’s profile here . If you would like to suggest someone for our profile section, please let me know!

I hope to see you on March 13th at our first unConference!

Best regards,

Sara Fraim
Sr. Director
