President's Welcome

Dear MBWA Members, Supporters, and Friends:

I am truly honored to serve as the 45th President of the Massachusetts Black Women Attorneys (MBWA). Since 1981, MBWA has advanced the equitable administration of justice, promoted legal education, and served as a dedicated avenue for Black women attorneys to be a resource for one another. In continuation of our legacy and vision of our founders, we look to pave the way for the next 45 years and LEVEL UP (lift every voice, empower, lead, unite, and protect).

We will lift every voice to advocate for equality and keep marching toward a better future.

We will empower and amplify our community, create supportive networks, and promote health and wellness.

We will lead, connect our work to our vision, serve, and uplift others in the process.

We will unite to celebrate the triumphs of Black women attorneys together, acknowledge our shared struggles, and support one another.

We will protect our interests in the perseverance of freedom and justice.

I sincerely look forward to the journey ahead and thank our founders, trailblazing members, past-presidents, board members, supporters, and friends for your commitment to MBWA’s success.

Best,

Jasmine D. Wells, Esq.
