Adolescent Immunization Action Week is April 6-10

Adolescent Immunization Action Week 2026 - Save the date on your calendars. AIAW will be held April 6-10 this year. This is a week for teens, parents, and their communities to come together to encourage young adults to stay up to date on recommended vaccines.


AIAW provides valuable vaccine information and resources to healthcare providers, parents, and teens. As AIAW approaches in April, this page will be updated with a variety of resources you can use to help spread awareness for #AIAW26 and the importance of adolescent vaccination.

National Infant Immunization Week - April 20-27

National Infant Immunization Week 2026 - This year, National Infant Immunization Week will be held from April 20-27, in the United States. Did you know that, in 2019, 14 million infants were not reached by vaccination services? National Infant Immunization Week is observed annually and highlights the importance of protecting children aged two years and under from vaccine-preventable diseases. 

April is National Minority Health Month

National Minority Health Month (NMHM) - Observed every April, NMHM aims to call attention to and eliminate disparities in access to health care and health outcomes in underserved communities. The AAFP observes National Minority Health Month as part of its goal to encourage and empower family physicians as they face the challenges of championing health equity in their communities.
