Folks 21+ are eligible to serve as Theme and Recreation Assistants,

Workshop Directors, and more.

Advocates

Advocates are the high school leaders of our Middle School Conferences.

This two week pay- what- you- can program is an opportunity

to learn and practice leadership skills, grow in faith, and build an incredible community.

Advocates serve on either the Theme or Activities team,

collaborating with each other as well as a team of awesome adults

to plan and lead the conferences, including worship, small groups, and all kinds of activities.

Know any 10th, 11th, or 12th graders with great leadership potential?

We'd love to work with them.

First deadline for the application is Monday 1/8, so don't wait to apply!

The application will remain open after the date until all spaces are filled.

More info and Advocate application here!

Workshop Directors

Pastors, Christian Educators, Sunday school teachers, youth ministry volunteers,

anyone awesome who wants to be involved with helping youth learn more about their faith:

Workshop Director are an integral part of our Middle School Conferences!

WDs lead their workshop four times during each conference--

ideally WDs can commit to the pair of conferences in June or July,

but we accept a limited number of WDs who can only serve in one conference.

The goal of our workshop offerings is to help conference participants

connect more to the conference theme through a variety of learning styles and practices.

We've had workshops on art, music, meditation, team games, nature, poetry, improv...

Our theme for 2024 is "Keep calm and rejoice: the Lord is near" from Phil 4:4-7.

More info and WD interest form here!

More opportunities to serve

Every year, the Middle School Conferences are staffed in a variety of ways, from

Advocate Coordinators (a pair of mentors who help Advocates learn leadership and teambuilding skills, as well as debrief and support their experiences) to Assistants (for Theme or Recreation, usually a young adult looking for more conference experience who helps our Keynote or Recreation leader as well as supporting our Advocate Coordinators) to Big 3 (our Keynote, Musician, and Recreation leaders) to Co-Directors (help lead the planning teams and manage the conferences by calling and supporting other conference leadership).

We're still filling a few of these positions for this year,

and we're always excited to plan ahead for future summers.
