COLUMBARIUM TO BE CLOSED FOR IMPROVEMENTS  Beginning September 23, the Cathedral Columbarium will be closed for two weeks as we install paving stones, which will mitigate issues with the existing ground cover and make the Columbarium an even more beautiful space. Thank you for your understanding.

SPECIAL NOTICE ABOUT PARKING on Sunday, September 29 On Sunday, September 29 the parking garage at the Cabrini Medical Tower will be closed and unavailable for parking for St. James Mass attendees. However, we have arranged for free parking at the Marion and Minor Garage directly across Boren Avenue from Cabrini Garage. There will be signage directing you to the entrance. One thing to note, when walking to the Cathedral, you will need to exit the garage via the car ramp as the entrance to the office building above will be closed. Please note that the garage will close promptly at 3:00pm.

ST JAMES CATHEDRAL BLOOD DRIVE St. James Cathedral is running another two-week blood donation campaign, between Sunday, September 15 to Sunday, September 29 at ANY Bloodworks Northwest location. Visit https://donate.bloodworksnw.org/donor/schedules/geo/ to find all the convenient nearby locations offered in our two-week timeframe. Please book your appointment now to reserve your spot.

SANDWICH MAKING MINISTRY Healthy sandwiches can be made at home and then brought to the Cathedral to share with men staying at the St. Martin de Porres Shelter. This is a great activity for families with young children, people with busy lives, and anyone who is not able to go out and serve. ST VINCENT DE PAUL THANKS YOU An older man cannot work due to a disability and lives in chronic pain on a small income. The good news is the man moved into an apartment after having lived in a tiny house village for some time. Not given advance notice of the move from the tiny house, the man with a generous heart gave help to a family member with some of his limited funds just prior to the move. This made the man short of rent money after the move occurred. This neighbor called the SVdP Helpline (206-767-6449 or apply online https://svdpseattle.org/get-help/online-help-request-form/). Because of your generous hearts, we gave assistance to help this neighbor get current with his rent. Information, Jo Ann Wiesner, 206-291-4012 or wiesnerjo@gmail.com.

THE CHILDREN'S FAITH FORMATION DEPARTMENT is delighted to announce that catechists, Tiffany Blanco and Wilma Gonzalez, have completed the Archdiocese of Seattle Catechetical Certification Program. The commitment demonstrated by Tiffany and Wilma to grow in their knowledge of the faith, with the desire to pass it on, is admirable. Congratulations to Tiffany and Wilma on this important achievement!

REST IN PEACE Please pray for the repose of the soul of Lynne Berry. May her soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.
