ST VINCENT DE PAUL THANKS YOU  A young woman with a toddler fled her home when she experienced domestic violence. A SVdP case manager helped the woman find subsidized housing where she could be safe. Her situation improved further when this neighbor found an internship that provides some income while she trains. However, when her car broke down, her expenses increased and she was not able to pay a full month’s rent. This neighbor called the SVdP Helpline (206-767-6449 or online https://svdpseattle.org/get-help/online-help-request-form/). Because of your participation in the SVdP ministry, we were able to give a portion of a rent payment. Also helping her financial position, the neighbor found daycare within walking distance of her apartment and disposed of her non-working auto to cut some of her expenses. Thank you for your help! Information, Jo Ann Wiesner, 206-291-4012 or wiesnerjo@gmail.com.

Dr. MARTIN LUTHER KING JR HOLIDAY The Parish Office will be closed on Monday, January 15 in observance of the national holiday. The Cathedral and the Cathedral Kitchen will both be open as usual.

TEEN, YOUNG ADULT AND ADULT VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR FAITH FRIENDS MINISTRY Faith Friends is a unique blend of our Faith Mentor, children’s faith formation program, and an inclusion ministry. The ministry's goal is to give children and teens ages 7- 18 with physical, cognitive and/or intellectual disabilities access to the parish community, social events, and faith formation. Perhaps the most unique aspect of the Faith Friends program is the Faith Peer program. Faith Peers are teens and young adults who have chosen to live out their discipleship and share some of their personal time in dedication and service to the goals of the program. Consider getting involved! Information, Leticia Escobar, 206-619-0816, faithfriends@stjames-cathedral.org, or www.faithfriendsstjames.org.
