Massive Blowback for Heritage Foundation President's Support of Tucker/Fuentes Antisemitism

This is a call to pray. Pray for conviction of the Holy Spirit to come upon so-called “conservatives” in general, and “evangelicals” in particular, who are bent on abandoning Israel, at best, and bashing Israel, at worst.

The list is horrifyingly growing:

- Candace Owens, who has emerged as a blatant Jew-hater;

- Tucker Carlson, who was more subtle about it (“poking” Ted Cruz), until last week when he platformed Nick Fuentes, a Holocaust denier, who apparently affirms Hitler and Joseph Stalin!;

- Steve Bannon, who is advocating a “three state solution,” a “Christian state in Jerusalem.” Utterly ridiculous.

The Jews have only one safe place to go, in the whole world. That’s Israel. Tiny Israel.

Muslims can go to 53 countries they control, and to all the other nations.

Christians can go to most of the 193 nations of the world.

But Jews cannot go safely to all the nations. For goodness sakes, let the Jews have Israel. All of it. Yes, Judea and Samaria is theirs. Period. There is no “West Bank.” The right biblical names are Judea and Samaria.

Our national leaders should affirm Israel’s right to exist (Balfour Declaration - 1917, San Remo Agreement - 1920, League of Nations- 1922). Israel should be affirmed in its desire to declare sovereignty over Judea (south of Jerusalem) and Samaria (north of Jerusalem). Israel rightfully won it in battle in 1967. But more importantly, it was theirs, at the command of God, from the time of Joshua, some 3,400 years ago.They need to be allowed to declare sovereignty over it.

You may not be aware that, thanks to Bill Clinton and the horrific Oslo Accords, there are many places in Judea and Samaria where a Jew cannot go. These are called “Area A.” Huge red signs warn Jews not to go into their own homeland, where Abraham, Isaac and Jacob once moved and lived, under threat of death.

The Bible promised the Jews approximately 300,000 square miles, from the Euphrates River to the Nile River. Under King David, 3,000 years ago, they had approximately 200,000 square miles. How much do they have now? A dinky 8,000 square miles.

Outside governments don’t need to divide Israel. That already happened in the 1940s when 72% of the land was taken away from the Jews and the nation of Jordan was created. Israel only got 28% of what they were promised.

But to add insult to injury, Tucker Carlon interviewed Nick Fuentes without pushing back on his outlandish, antisemitic comments. But it gets much worse.

The Heritage Foundation has housed the “Combatting Antisemitism Task Force.” My wife and I have been a small part of that large coalition of Christians and Jews.

When Tucker platformed the Hitler-loving Fuentes, the president of the Heritage Foundation came out with a video. It was, to say the least, bizarre. Instead of condemning Tucker’s advancing of a holocaust denier, Kevin Roberts defended him in a short speech comprised of stunningly weak rationale.

What was the reaction to the Jews who are on the task force? Shock and well-placed anger. I know. I am on an email string with 140 of us.

What about the Christians? Same reaction.

Some Jewish organizations have left the task force. Others are giving Kevin Roberts until the end of the business day today (Monday) to retract his horrific statement. And even if he does, it might be “too little, too late.”

I write this email with:

1. The reality that I have just returned from Israel for the 28th time (my wife’s 79th), looking into the faces of the Jewish people in Israel telling them that we, Christian evangelicals, stand with Israel,

2. The knowledge that one so-called “conservative” after another has capitulated in their support of Israel,

3. The shocking awareness that the rapid rise of antisemitism could actually result in another holocaust unless more of us step up quickly and strongly defend the Jews.

Haven’t the Jews suffered enough? They are the most continuously tortured people group in human history. It must stop. Now.
