Volume 4 Issue 8
Welcome our new CVE security chiefs
The Village has two new faces heading up security services.

Liana Zito has been hired as the new Director of Security, while Michael DiPietro joins her as Assistant Director of Security.
Master Management is responsible for, and funds security services at the gates and in the outdoor public areas, as well as roving officers around the village.
Are you doing your part to conserve water in CVE?
When was the last time you replaced your toilet? You can get up to $100 to help install a new low flow toilet.

Toilets are by far the main source of water use in the home, accounting for nearly 30 percent of an average home's indoor water consumption. Older, inefficient toilets that use as much as 6 gallons per flush also happen to be a major source of wasted water in many homes.

Recent advancements have allowed toilets to use 1.28 gallons per flush or less while still providing equal or superior performance.

The City of Deerfield Beach has a program that will help pay for a new low flow toilet. Click HERE for more information.

Meanwhile, even if you don't replace your toilet, make sure it's not leaking! If you routinely hear it running when no one has used it, you probably have a leak that needs to be fixed.

Mask mandate returns to Master Management office
Due to health conditions, Master Management is bringing back its mask requirement for visitors to the office. If you need to come by, please make sure you have your mask on.

If you do come in, please remember our office hours are 8:00am - 4:00pm, Monday through Friday.

Message from the Executive Director
It's not us!
Let me start by saying I think the vast majority of services provided by the City of Deerfield Beach are top notch, first class. There isn't a single person I deal with at City Hall that is not 100% professional.

HOWEVER...

I am constantly stopped by residents wanting to know when the main gate reconstruction will begin. Others ask about the right turn lane planned for Military Trail into the East Gate.

The answer to all these questions is the same: We are waiting for city permitting to be complete.

For several reasons I won't bore you with, the fact is the Village's capital improvement projects seem to get bogged down. We spend a tremendous amount of time and effort addressing concerns that often are not raised until the end of the process, forcing us to frequently backtrack in our planning. As a result, our timelines (which strive to get projects done during the summer season) are often thrown off.

I assure you we continue to aggressively pursue every step in the process. Trust me when I tell you that when you see the new main entry, it will be worth the wait! But until then, I just wanted to share a small window into the process so you have a better understanding of how things are progressing.
Stay safe.
