Dear Miramonte Community,
What an absolutely great evening last night at Back to School Night! We had a great turnout, and our teachers really appreciated your engagement and positivity. It was great to meet and catch up with many of you, and to welcome our new parents to Miramonte. With our deep focus on Academic Excellence alongside the principles of Connection, Equity, and Wellness, Miramonte truly provides a first class experience for every student in our school.
Thank you for your continued support of our staff and programs by giving to ONE-Miramonte (every dollar you give stays with Miramonte and goes directly to our classes and school), and for volunteering, engaging, and raising such wonderful children!
I look forward to seeing you all next Thursday, September 5th at our annual Parent Night. Besides our Grade Level Meetings at Parent Night, Stanford’s Challenge Success will also be holding a parent education presentation, “Strategies to Promote Well-Being and Engagement.”
Thanks again for joining us last night, have a wonderful long weekend, and GO MATS!

ONE-Miramonte Fundraising
We hope you had a chance to attend Back-to-School Night and meet all of your student’s wonderful teachers!
Back-to-School Night is also an opportunity to see your ONE-Miramonte donations in action. Every class receives supplemental funding from ONE-Miramonte dollars. These funds pay for necessary school supplies ranging from paint brushes to beakers. We also have 19 additional class sections offered that are paid for with parent contributions, without which students would have fewer options and larger class sizes.
ONE-Miramonte donations also pay for teacher professional development to keep our student’s teachers up-to-date on the best practices in education.
We are also excited that this year ONE-Miramonte donations will provide funds to improve teacher technology by paying for new laptops and monitors. A few select classrooms are piloting modern projection systems that should improve the student educational experience. If this pilot goes well, we will expand beyond those classrooms. Finally, we also have plans to make modest improvements in the landscaping around Miramonte that will provide more student seating and make our campus more attractive.
Thank you to the families who have already given to ONE-Miramonte — your donation is appreciated! If you haven’t given yet, please consider doing so today. Parent donations to ONE-Miramonte plus our talented and dedicated faculty make ours an exceptional high school!

And on Friday they got to feel the kindness of our first therapy dogs visit of the year. As always, reach out if you have any questions!
