Dear Miramonte Community, | |
|
Today is the end of the 1st Quarter, which allows us to provide a progress report to show how students are doing in their courses. Please note that these quarter grades do not show up on transcripts, do not get released to colleges, and simply serve as a progress report for students, staff, and parents. You will receive the 1st Quarter Progress Report Card electronically via ParentSquare in about a week.
In case your child didn’t tell you… every September, my Associate Principals and I visit every English classroom on campus to introduce ourselves, welcome the students to a new school year, and review key expectations and guidelines laid out in our Student Handbook. These class visits help to connect our admin team with the students and lay the groundwork for a positive and successful school year.
It’s been a month since our bi-annual Club Day, but it’s not too late for your child to join a club! Please review our list of Miramonte Student Clubs so you can encourage them to get connected.
Have a great long weekend and GO MATS!

Seniors
- Counselors are continuing to meet individually with seniors to discuss post-high school plans!
- If your senior is applying to college, they can begin requesting transcripts via MaiaLearning.
- Consider attending the Academy college application workshops in the College and Career Center. Students can sign up using TeachMore.
Students who received a D, F, NC, or NP in a graduation required course should contact their counselor to see if they are eligible for remediation through a FuelEd course. Remediation is important if your student wants to maintain UC/CSU eligibility.

Miramonte Presents: Two British Pantomimes – Cinderella and Treasure Island
Welcome to the wild and wacky world of Pantomime where classic stories meet modern pop culture and actors are free to play roles that are not restricted based on gender. The acting style is exaggerated and everything, including the props, is larger than life. This British tradition dates back to the 1700s and is based on the Italian theatre form of commedia dell’arte. Today, British families of all ages, typically around Christmas, see their local panto in villages or community centers or produced professionally on London’s West End. Integrating audience participation, popular music, and some raunchy innuendo, there is something for everyone when you go see the panto! We are happy to share this tradition and genre with Miramonte, and we hope you enjoy it. Cheers!
Showtimes:
Treasure Island: Thursday, October 24, 7:00 p.m.
Cinderella: Friday, October 25, 7:00 p.m.
Treasure Island: Saturday, October 26, 7:00 p.m.
Cinderella: Sunday, October 27, 4:00 p.m.
Purchase your tickets here: Cinderella and Treasure Island Tickets
