MATCH ASSIGNMENT UPDATE - Self-assignment now is open
Self-assignment for Soccerfest and pool play matches (July 25-29) is open today. We have uploaded the credentials of all referees who expressed interest through the website (which should include everyone on this mailing list), SO LONG AS you are a current (MY2022) AYSO volunteer and all of your compliance items are up to date.
We still are working through a few officials who completed compliance items in the last month or so - we hope to have them all verified and uploaded by tomorrow - if you still can't get in after that, please reply to this newsletter and give us the details.
We have left the Great Park field map and the overall schedule of the games in this newsletter (below) to help you with your planning. Be sure to allow enough time between matches if you are moving from one area of the Park to another!

WHAT MATCHES CAN I OFFICIATE? Stack Officials uses an internal ranking system that will determine what matches and positions (referee and/or AR) you may self-assign when you are logged in to the site
Initially your ranking will be assigned based on your badge level. We will (and in some cases already have) adjust this level based on more individualized information about you, for example your rating in Matchtrak (if you have one) and/or recommendation from your own Area Referee Administrator.
PLEASE do not sign up as the REFEREE (AR is OK) if one of the playing teams is from your AREA.

HOW DO I GET IN TO THE SYSTEM?

INITIAL SET-UP: If you do not already have a Stack Officials account, you should have received/be receiving an invitation email directly from Stack Officials.

FIELD LAYOUT
Below is a map of the planned field arrangement at the Irvine Great Parks for the National Games (subject to change). You might have to zoom in on the image to see the details. There are 24 numbered full-sized fields, but some (indicated by A and B) will be subdivided for small-sided matches. The block labeled "REFEREES" will be the main referee station. The five blocks labeled "Area xx" will be satellite field marshal/EMT/referee tables for smaller blocks of fields - this is where you will pick up and turn in your individual match cards. Note that the location of these tables might change somewhat as our planning progresses.
PARKING
Parking lots also are shown. All parking at the Great Parks is free. We'll be hiring a parking management company to help deal with traffic and parking issues during the Games - more information to follow.
