This week we are spending Monday-Wednesday at Southern Oaks Golf Course in Easley, South Carolina for the Walton Horton and Jeanne Campbell Match Play Championship. They are hosting 28 wonderful golfers and we couldn't ask for more beautiful coastal weather. We started the morning off early at 9:00am! Let's see how everyone finished round 1.

Championship Division

Dawn Woodard advances to round 2, defeating Sandi Tuller 5&4. Teryn Dalton beat Kimberly Case to advance to round 2, 1 up on the 19th hole. Lea Venable won her matches against Margaret Olson 8&6. Nancy Dodge advances to round 2 with a bye. Sandi, Kimberly, and Margaret will all play in a consolation tournament tomorrow.

State Division 1

Susan Lee Ballard advances to round 2, with a Bye. Leah Bohnen won her match against Joyce Davis, advancing to round 2 with a score of 3&2. Linda Morris advances to round 2, beating Kristen Rooke 2&1.  Dana Halliday won her match against Carole Stone 2&1. Joyce, Kristen, and Carole will all play in a consolation tournament tomorrow.

State Division 2

Jane Gwinn moves onto round 2 with a bye.  Sue Belair won her match against Beverly Scarborough 5&3. Heather Paddison won her match against Venita Olson 1up. Patricia Reid took her match over Jesse Sutton 3&2. Beverly, Venita, and Jesse will all play in a consolation tournament tomorrow.

State Division 3

Priscilla Hoffman advances to round 2 with a bye. Pauline Callaham defeated Alicia Kough in her match, 3&2. Esther Mishoe won her match against Beth Bethel 4&2. Barbie Francis beat Vera Wagner 8&7. Alicia, Beth, and Vera will play in a consolation tournament tomorrow.
