| | Honoring Dr. Janell Green Smith | | The Maternal Justice Coalition Steering Committee honors the life and legacy of Dr. Janell Green Smith, a devoted midwife, nurse, and maternal health leader whose work strengthened families, advanced birth equity, and uplifted the maternal health community. Her commitment to compassionate, culturally grounded care and her leadership within the birth and nursing workforce touched countless lives. We mourn her tragic passing and stand in solidarity with her family, colleagues, and the communities she served.
