*Matisyahu Joins BEACHLIFE Festival + Spring Tour Dates To Be Announced Soon*
January 25, 2022 (New York, NY) On March 25th, Matisyahu will release his seventh studio album - Matisyahu (Fallen Sparks/Thirty Tigers, distributed by The Orchard) - produced and co-written by the Columbian-born, Brooklyn-based pop and electronic duo Salt Cathedral. Fueled by authentic narratives and written during a Covid quarantine period of inspired music-making, Matisyahu will be the artist’s first full album release in five years. It is equally the most deeply autobiographical and universally messaged recording of his artistic journey thus far.

The GRAMMY-nominated singer/songwriter/rapper released "Keep Coming Back For More" on January 14th, which is a touching expression of Matisyahu's devotion to his wife and their young daughter. The reggae-heartbeat track features Salt Cathedral's Juliana Ronderos' hypnotically ethereal vocals and stands as a delicate, passionate moment on the forthcoming album. Serendipitously, just one day before the reminiscent track was released, Matisyahu and his wife became parents to a new baby boy, and looking back on writing "Keep Coming Back For More" he notes: “There’s a lyric about my daughter being born...she was a home birth at our house in Nyack, so we named her Esti River,” he points out. “It’s another song where the feminine energy of Juliana's voice is so powerful; her vocal comes in and encompasses everything.”
Matisyahu has sold over 5 million career physical albums, and has over 500 million total career streams across all global platforms. He has topped Billboard’s Reggae Album charts four times, initially with Youth which was Certified Gold and also hit #4 on the Billboard 200. His breakout hit “King Without a Crown” reached #14 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #1 on alternative rock radio, and four of his last five studio albums have landed in the top 20 on the Billboard 200. Matisyahu is a founding signatory of the Black-Jewish Entertainment Alliance and the Creative Community for Peace.

Matisyahu heads to San Diego, CA this week for two nights at Belly Up Tavern, January 28th & 29th. On May 14th he joins the BEACHLIFE FESTIVAL in Redondo Beach, CA alongside Smashing Pumpkins, Stone Temple Pilots and more. Additional spring tour dates to be announced soon.
