You're Invited: 2020 Matriculation Ceremony
One of the highlights of welcoming new students to the community is for students and their families to attend the Matriculation Ceremony. While we can’t host one in person this year, we are delighted to offer a virtual ceremony for those of you who are attending Acadia for your first time. We encourage you to invite your family members as well! On behalf of President Peter Ricketts we would like to invite you to attend our Matriculation Ceremony on Thursday, September 17 at 5:00 pm on Microsoft Teams.
COVID-19 Education Course & Safety Pledge
Acadia staff, faculty and students are being asked to help protect our community by completing the COVID-19 Preparedness & Education course, developed with the objective of “flattening the curve” and preventing the spread of COVID-19. The course is available virtually through Acorn and must be completed by the start of classes (Sept. 21st).

Additionally, all community members are required to acknowledge their responsibility to comply with all policies, procedures and directives that Acadia has developed with guidance from Nova Scotia Public Health authorities, recognizing despite these health & safety measures, the risk of contracting COVID-19 cannot be eliminated.
All Students arriving on campus are required to complete the Student COVID-19 Safety Pledge, outlined at the end of the COVID-19 Preparedness & Education course.

Acadia’s faculty and staff must confirm they have read The Campus Reopening Framework and pledge their commitment by completing the Return to Campus Agreement.

Campus Re-opening: Phase 4
We are pleased to announce that Acadia is in Phase 4 of our Return to Campus Safely Plan.

Phase 4 allows for a gradual return of students so they can complete 14-days of self-isolation required for anyone entering Nova Scotia from outside Atlantic Canada.

It is always a challenge to transition to university, and circumstances make this year makes that even tougher. Please continue to support our students as they arrive and during their self-isolation. There is an impressive lineup of online information, orientation, and wellness planning ready to go thanks to the efforts of many of you. Thank you!
