A NEW Mentorship Program for
Nonprofit Staff, Board Members, and Volunteers!
Friday,
June 7
- 11:30 am—1:30 pm - Newport News
- Broaden your skills by serving as a mentor
- Increase your skills with a mentor who can help you grow in your professional role
- Encourage growth inside your organization by implementing your own program
MentWorks is for anyone interested in serving as a mentor to others in the nonprofit sector as a
staff member, board member, or volunteer; as well as for those who are seeking a mentor in their work in any of these roles. It can also be of value by organizations seeking to implement or improve upon their own mentoring program for staff, board members, and/or clients.
MentWorks has been designed for multiple applications:
- Nonprofit Leaders – individuals in similar roles at different agencies w/ varying levels of experience.
- Board Members – senior/more experienced board member mentoring junior/less experienced people from same or different organization
- New hires – staff needing to be oriented, trained & assimilated into new roles
- Reverse mentoring – senior staff looking to junior staff to broaden their perspective, learn new skills, reignite their passion, etc
- Clients – for nonprofits that provide mentoring to clients, to add to or strengthen current mentoring program.
Also as part of this new program, we have identified nonprofit leaders, Board members, and volunteers who are interested in serving as mentors.
NetworkPeninsula
will help to facilitate matches that best meet the needs (professional and geographical) of both the mentor and mentee. Participants in this session will have first opportunity for matching.
