Mavis Discount Tire Program
Hello Franchise Network,

We are very excited to announce a new National Account program with Mavis Discount Tire!

Mavis Discount Tire is one of the largest independent multi-brand tire dealers in the United States offering services that align with our products.

Mavis has been growing rapidly since the acquisition of Cole Muffler Brake in 2008 and since then has added Somerset Tire (STS), Kauffman Tire, and merged with Express Oil, Tire Engineers, and Brakes Plus. Mavis also recently added 80+ NTBs to their family bringing the total number of shops in our database to over 960 operating across 25 States. This program does not extend to the 137 Express Oil Franchise locations names EXPRESS OIL FRAN (MAVIS) in Wizmo.
Due to the many entities that Mavis operates we have streamlined the naming of all Mavis locations (we couldn’t just call them all Mavis Tire & Service as it would have caused confusion out in the field).

The new Wizmo naming for the entities will be:
  • BRAKES PLUS (MAVIS) #9999
  • EXPRESS OIL CO (MAVIS) #9999
  • MAVIS KAUFFMAN #9999
  • MAVIS TIRE & SERVICE #9999
  • NTB (MAVIS) #_9999
  • STS TIRE & SVC (MAVIS) #9999

Pricing:
  • M3/20
  • This upfront discount is less than other major National Accounts due to their interest in maintaining and preserving a higher average repair order. Less expensive parts result in a smaller markup on parts and a smaller repair order. This justifies a larger back-end rebate.
  • A 13% quarterly rebate based on an increase in year-over-year purchases.

Additionally there is a rebate kicker:
  • 2% annual rebate to be paid when the following conditions are met
  • Trailing twelve months (TTM) purchases from all Mavis locations exceed $1,152,000
  • TTM = May 2020 to May 2021

Priority Vendor Status:
  • We are considered a priority vendor for Mavis. Their locations will be expected to purchase from 1-800 Radiator & A/C by Mavis corporate and we have been assured that this can and will be enforced.

Important Special Instructions:
  • We are not to discuss the corporate rebate terms with local staff. Mavis leadership has requested that rebate information remain confidential. We will add this note to visit campaigns.
  • Also very important to note: Mavis does not allow vendor visits to their shops; however, for this program rollout, you will be able to visit shops in your area one time. More details regarding this directive to come when the visit campaigns are loaded.

Order Methods:
  • Mavis has agreed to integrate all locations to their electronic ordering system as they are able to do so (pending system upgrades they are doing). We will be following up with Mavis in the coming months on this and will provide updates to our 1-800 system as progress is made.

Pay Terms:
  • The above listed MSO groups have been updated to Corp Collect so you will see payment on your franchise statement.

Warranty:
  • Nationwide lifetime warranty on all qualified purchases
  • Minimum labor coverage at $35/hour based on ALLDATA labor times
