In May, we had over 300 visits to the food pantry and registered 11 new customers. As we approach the summer months and schools close, local families will rely on our food pantry to feed their children. Next month, we'll kick off our annual Backpack Kids fundraiser to ensure students have access to food this summer and supplies for the upcoming school year.

The only way the food pantry has remained open the last 41 years and throughout a global pandemic is because of our resilient and devoted volunteers. If you'd like to join our team, sign up to volunteer here.

Every $1 donated enables us to continue to feed our most vulnerable community members.
Our Assistance Program provides a safety net for local families and individuals who are struggling to make ends meet. Here are but a few examples in May that demonstrate the impact this program has made on our community:

  • Purchased gift cards, clothing, sneakers, and toiletries for Southampton Elementary, Intermediate and High School students

  • Purchased a hotel room for a senior citizen who was visiting his daughter who had just had a kidney transplant

  • Repaired a septic tank for a single mother of two children

  • Installing a modular ramp at a senior citizen's home

We are pleased to welcome Molly Bishop as our new Executive Director starting June 1st! Ms. Bishop joins Heart of the Hamptons with twenty years of professional experience, serving as a development and strategy consultant for local organizations. That, coupled with her strong passion and love for the Southampton community makes her a great addition to the HOH team.

“Serving my hometown as Executive Director of this incredible organization is a dream come true. I am humbled to have been chosen to build on the remarkable accomplishments of Hilton Crosby, the entire staff and dedicated volunteers at Heart of the Hamptons” says Bishop.

Welcome, Molly! We look forward to this new chapter at HOH.
