A Message from the Principal of Student Life and Mission: |
Dear Carondelet Community,
May is an exciting month here at Carondelet. In many ways, it’s a time of both beginnings and endings. We began the month with an evening welcoming the incoming Class of 2029 and then followed it with a Senior Assembly celebrating all that the Class of 2025 has accomplished during their four years with us. Currently, we are also in the middle of two weeks of AP testing, where our students are demonstrating all that they have learned this year and communicating to their future schools their preparation for college-level work.
This month has marked momentous moments for our global Catholic community as well. We witnessed the announcement of the new leader of our Church as we spontaneously gathered in the Jean Hofmann Center for Innovation to watch the live broadcast announcement of Pope Leo XIV last Thursday.
We will celebrate our final liturgy with the senior class this Thursday at their Baccalaureate Mass held in the Garaventa Center. This lovely and meaningful time, where the class joins with family, friends, faculty, and staff, marks not only the last time we are joined in prayer, but also a launching point for the next step in their lives. On Saturday, when the Class of 2025 walks across the stage at the Toyota Pavilion and is presented as the newest Carondelet graduates, it is both an end to their time as students and a beginning of their ongoing journey of heart, faith, courage, and excellence for the rest of their lives.
Beginnings and endings are bittersweet. We will miss you, Class of 2025, but are so proud of you and know that you will go on to make a difference in the world.

Final Week of AP Testing
We’re entering the second and final week of AP testing at Carondelet. So far, our students have shown incredible focus and resilience as they tackle 980 exams across 19 subjects. If your daughter still has an exam ahead, please continue to encourage good sleep, a fully charged iPad, and a calm mindset—it all makes a difference!
Exams will be conducted each day through Friday, May 16 on our campus. During this time, there will be no bells during the school day, so students not testing will need to ensure they are in their classes on time. The Library will be closed for testing the entire two weeks. No loaner iPad or keyboards will be available for students as they are all being used for AP exams.
Final Progress Reports – May 14
Final progress reports for the semester will be sent out on Tuesday, May 14. These reports reflect your daughter’s academic standing heading into the final weeks of school.
Finals Schedule Update
Final exams will begin on Friday, May 23, and continue through the following week. During finals, students will be dismissed at 11:25 AM each day. (Please note: Students with extended time may test beyond that, as needed.)
To support all learners, teacher office hours will be offered daily from 11:25 AM to 12:30 PM, not just Tuesday through Thursday. This gives students access to extra help, clarification, or encouragement throughout the entire finals period.
Thank you for helping your daughter plan ahead and take advantage of the support available during this important time.
Looking Ahead: 2025–26 Schedule Release
Student schedules for next school year will be released in waves:
-
Rising Seniors (Class of 2026): June 5, 2025 (after College Kickstart)
-
Rising Juniors (Class of 2027): End of day June 6, 2025
-
Rising Sophomores (Class of 2028): End of day June 11, 2025
Students may request schedule adjustments during the June 5–13 window and again during Orientation Days in August.

Senior Parents/Guardians
Please do not unsubscribe from Carondelet's email platform, Constant Contact. In a couple of weeks, we will transfer your email to the parents of alumnae category. This will allow you to still receive alumnae parent communications and other important information related to Carondelet.
| | | Witnessing History! Pope Leo XIV | |
Students, faculty, and staff experienced the election of the first Pope from the United States, Pope Leo XIV, live on Carondelet's media wall and in classrooms. The world watched as Pope Leo XIV spoke his first papal words, "Peace be with all you," from the balcony of St. Peter's Basilica.
| | | Open Student Parking Begins Thursday, May 15 | |
Beginning Thursday, May 15, students with a valid driver’s license may park on a first-come, first-served basis in the following areas:
- The back parking lot (located behind the gym, back 40s classrooms, and Convent)
- Along Treat Blvd., just past the flagpole
Approved parking areas are marked in green on the map. Please review the map carefully to ensure you are parking in a designated student area and please be mindful of all traffic cones and construction fencing.
Reminder: Students may not park in the Convent Lot (unless they have a permit for that location), the covered garage, in EV charging stations, or directly in front of the Academic Building.

Shadelands Parking Update
We have received complaints from businesses in the Shadelands Business Park regarding unauthorized student parking. Students who choose to park off campus in that area must use legal street parking along North Wiget Lane. Parking in business lots is not permitted, and continued violations may result in tickets or towing at the vehicle owner’s expense.
If your daughter parks off campus near Shadelands, please take a moment to review this expectation with her.

- Shirts must have sleeves (long or short) and fall below the waistline.
- Skirts/Dresses/Shorts must be mid-thigh or longer.
- Shoes must have a back. Sandals are appropriate as long as there is a back strap. Heels and wedges are ok.
