HSC Launches Planned Giving Program
HSC is pleased to announce our Planned Giving program, providing donors with tax-saving benefits while helping HSC continue its mission for years to come.

The Planned Giving program provides options such as IRA rollovers, gifts of stocks and bonds, naming HSC as a beneficiary in a will, and more. The program also offers a free monthly e-newsletter with financial news, as well as a free estate planning guide.

With gift planning, you can meet your personal financial goals while making a difference for our future.
Volunteers Needed at Project Connect
Individuals experiencing homelessness near 35th Avenue and Cactus Rd will be connected with a range of services and resources during "Project Connect" on May 20th from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 11650 N. 35th Avenue, Phoenix 85029.

Guests will be able to meet with professionals providing housing support, healthcare screenings, job search and preparation, legal assistance and vital records and identification replacement, among other services. COVID-19 screenings, tests and vaccines also will be available and guests will have access to clothing, haircuts, showers, food and even bicycle repairs.

Nonprofit agencies committed so far to the one-day event include HSC, A New Leaf - Faith House, Basic Mission, CAN Community Health, Catholic Charities/MANA House Veterans Outreach, Central Arizona Shelter Services, Circle the City, AZ Dept of Economic Security, Homeless ID Project, Humans and Pets in Crisis, Justa Center, AZ Motor Vehicle Division, Phoenix Rescue Mission, Social Security, Southwest Center for HIV/AIDS, St Vincent de Paul, St. Joseph the Worker, Street Medicine Phoenix and Valley of the Sun United Way.

“Project Connect meets people where they are rather than directing people to one location in downtown Phoenix, in order to provide services and resources in a one-stop model,” said HSC Executive Director Amy Schwabenlender. "We are grateful to the Valley of the Sun United Way for the support and financial investment that makes this project possible.”

Between 250 and 300 guests are expected at the event organized by the HSC. Volunteers are needed for a variety of roles and shifts: set-up 6 am to 8 am; Guest Guides 7 am to noon and 11 am to 3 pm; floaters 7 am to noon and 11 am to 3 pm; clean-up 2 pm to 4 pm.

HSC Grateful for The Arcadia Foundation
We recently received a $10,000 gift from The Arcadia Foundation! They toured the Campus, and chose HSC as the beneficiary of their 1st annual golf tournament, held on Saturday, April 2nd.

Founded in 2021, The Arcadia Foundation is “committed to enriching and empowering the communities we serve through collaboration, education and opportunity.” Meghan Murphy (Executive Director) and her father John Murphy (Board Chair) are passionate about making an impact in the community.

We are so honored to receive this incredibly generous donation and look forward to working with The Arcadia Foundation to end homelessness in our community.
