Worship Series Dare to Dance Again
The world is emerging from a dark year. There have been losses...and there has been learning.
Now is a moment in the dance when we pause to consider our next steps.
God has given us this special moment to reassess our "why" – our reason for being.
In worship this week, we will focus on that question in order to decide what comes next.
Online Children's Sunday School. This week's Sunday School Bible story will go live on Sunday morning at 9:30 a.m. https://bit.ly/CCYouTubeVid
Online Coffee & Conversation
Immediately following our online worship service (at 9:15 a.m.) grab a mug and come over to our community's Coffee & Conversation online.

8:30 a.m. Worship Update
The 10:15 a.m. Sunday worship service has relaunched as a hybrid of in-person and livestream this month, which has been quite a challenge. Over the next few months, we expect that as the pandemic hopefully subsides there will be more adapting.
People have asked what is going to happen with the 8:30 a.m. in-person worship service, and we don't know. For now, the format of the 8:30 a.m. service will be more condensed (as it used to be), with no special music or Children's Conversation. We also will start now and continuing through June add Zoom (https://us02web.zoom.us/j/82085333881) to connect each week and watch the service together. You still will find the service at https://colonialucc.online.church/ at 8:30 with the usual online chat.
The hope is to see if with Zoom it is a little more personal than just the chat interface, and allows people a chance to actually talk a bit, which was a hallmark of the 8:30 a.m. worship service.

We're Going to Dance Together on May 23
We are postponing creating our video of the Jerusalema until Pentecost, May 23, but keep practicing. The Jerusalema is a line dance...and we can do this together. On May 23 we will record ourselves dancing together. We’re going to put together a video and challenge our friends at Plymouth Church in Lawrence to do the same.
Our own Tamara Carson has put together a video instruction for how to do the Jerusalema - there's also a low impact and accessible to dance-challenged people.

Molly’s Table Mother’s Day
Molly’s Table honored the mothers of Sheffield Place by providing a Mother’s Day dinner for them on the evening of May 10th. Individual meals were delivered by Cosentino’s Price Chopper to Sheffield Place for the mothers and their children to enjoy.
Although Molly’s Table has not been able to host in-person events for over a year, several meals and gifts have been sent to Sheffield Place during the pandemic. We look forward to the time when we are able to return to in-person events. Thank you to everyone who continues to support Molly’s Table!

VANish the Void Supplies
Pre-pandemic, Colonial helped Kar Woo and Artists Helping the Homeless by providing and serving a meal in Mill Creek Park once a month for homeless people. We hope to resume that outreach eventually. In the meantime, the Colonial Board of Outreach is providing funds for non-perishable food items for Woo to hand out when he is out in the Be the Change van helping disadvantaged and homeless people in Kansas City. You can give to that effort here by selecting AHH from the dropdown menu.
