A NEW BOARD IS SWORN IN APRIL 28TH
On April 28th, for the first time since 2019, Richmond Chamber of Commerce members gathered in-person for their Annual General Meeting. Carolyn Robertson was unanimously confirmed as the 2022/2023 Chair of the board, continuing her role from the previous year.

The Richmond Chamber of Commerce also introduced their newly-approved three-year Strategic Plan, to be completed by Q1, 2025.

The Richmond Chamber of Commerce 2022/2023 board of directors are:

MAY 27TH - BC ECONOMIC SUMMIT COMES TO RICHMOND
The biggest event on Richmond business calendar is set to kick-off on May 27th at the River Rock Show Theatre. The BC Economic Summit, a full-day event, is designed to connect local business leaders to the thought leadership and practical tools they need to grow, and recover from the past years.

Notable speakers include The Honourable Selina Robinson, Minister of Finance, MLA for Coquitlam-Maillardville Jean-François Perrault, Senior Vice-President & Chief Economist, Scotiabank, and many more.

UPDATES TO CHAMBER STAFF
Aleena Hussain joined the Richmond Chamber of Commerce team as a Communications and Policy Coordinator on May 4th. She has recently graduated with a BBA in Marketing Management from the Melville School of Business at KPU.

Shaena Furlong is the newly appointed President & CEO of the Richmond Chamber of Commerce. She spent the last decade working for the organization in various capacities, most recently as its Director of Operations.

Shaena is passionate about connecting members to each other and finds inspiration in the creative, passionate members she gets to work with every day.

Aspire Richmond (formerly the Richmond Society for Community Living) is bringing back their popular "Benefit of Possibilities... A Community Affair". On May 26th at the Radisson Vancouver Airport Hotel.

This year they have a lot to celebrate – a new name, a new look, and their 40th anniversary. They’ll also be kicking off a capital campaign to build an accessible and barrier-free playground at Treehouse Early Learning Centre in Steveston.
