A New Success Story!

Robyia Spriggins was a dislocated worker who completed the Fundamentals of Supply Chain Management training program at Union County College. Robyia earned four CSCMP certifications and worked closely with the job development team at the Center for Economic and Workforce Development (CEWD), specifically Katrina James-Pellam, to define her career goals.

Robyia met with Katrina to re-write her resume, role-play in mock interviews and write an admissions essay for continuing her educational journey. Robyia accepted a contract position at Mamiye Sales, Inc. as she left the supply chain training program, worried that it would be a temporary assignment and that she'd find herself again unemployed.

But, within a few months her new employer offered her a full-time position, launching her into a career track with great possibilities. Robyia now expresses gratitude for the adversity that led her to Union County College and credits the program for a major turnaround in her journey. We congratulate her!
