Memorial Day 2025

Memorial Day is Monday, May 26, 2025. In observation of the day, the church office will be closed all day.

We will reopen as usual on Tuesday, May 27.

We invite you to prayerfully remember our fallen military service members and their families on this special day.

Craft Items Needed

Once a month, the Hope Lake Weir Campus Food Pantry wants to have a craft table for the neighbors of all ages. We hope to give the neighbors a renewed energy to fill their idle time with something to do.

It could be making a simple bookmark or a greeting card for their friends, learning how to knit or crochet. If you have any craft materials you would like to donate, please place them in the Food Pantry's black bins in the donation hallway at Hope Central Campus. Also, if you would like to demonstrate a simple craft to the neighbors, please email Debbie at debs@hope4all.church.

Quilters Thank Generous Mystery Donor

The Lutheran World Relief Quilters recently received a gift of fabric from a very generous donor.

We'd like to thank them but there was no name attached. If it was you please know that we appreciate your kindness.

We use all the fabric donated to us to make LWR Quilts.

Blessings to you from the LWR Quilters.

An Opportunity from the Department of Music Ministry

Hope offers a variety of unique and inspiring musical ensembles through our Department of Music Ministry, with each designed to unite our congregation during weekend worship and enrich our shared worship experience.

With the choir season approaching its summer hiatus, we will be in need of individuals (or couples, trios, etc.) who may be looking to sing on mike for a traditional service. Doing this means you are willing to lead the congregation with a level of confidence that allows others in the room the ease of following your voice as they sing along. It means you are capable of learning the 2 or 3 hymns assigned to that particular day’s service, as well as all of the liturgical music we do throughout the season (i.e. Gospel Acclamation, Sermon Response, Offertory, etc.) Each of Hope’s three campuses has spots to fill between the weekend following Pentecost (6/14) and Labor Day weekend (8/31).

If solo singing is not your thing, all three campus mixed choirs “Voices of Hope-C/S/LW” will resume rehearsals in mid to late August, to begin weekend services as the next season starts on September 6. If you prefer singing with all men or all women, Hope Central Campus offers both of those groups, presenting three- and four-part anthems on a monthly basis. I already mentioned a place for ringers, even if you’ve never rung a bell before. The Hope Central Campus S.O.S. Band leads on Saturdays at 4:00pm year-round. If you play guitar, keys, drums, or just prefer harmonizing in the shower to that style of music, we are always interested in hearing new potential musicians. The same holds true for those of you who may be adept at a different orchestral or band instrument. If your calling is to play for the Lord, you are encouraged to contact us.

If you are seeking more opportunities to give back and make a joyful noise while doing so, I look forward to hearing from you. God bless!

Pastor Bruce Continues Study on Worship

Pastor Bruce continues his 3-year study on worship as found in our "Evangelical Lutheran Worship (ELW)," the book of liturgical rites used by the ELCA. Last year we studied our first sacrament of Holy Communion.

This year, we will study our second sacrament of Baptism and its many related rites. Over the course of the first six weeks, we will examine the theology and Lutheran understanding of Baptism and the rites of confession and forgiveness. The last three weeks we will examine three rites that, although not sacraments in our Lutheran understanding, are firmly rooted in our understanding of Baptism: rites of healing, funeral, and marriage.

Please note the dates of each class since we will not be meeting for 9 consecutive weeks. The schedule for this course is at 10:00am each Wednesday as follows:

  • Life Passages: Marriage (May 21)

All classes meet at Hope Central Campus. For more information, please email Pastor Bruce at pastorbruce@hope4all.church.

Gatherings of Hope

Pastor Rani is leading Gatherings of Hope on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays in Room 204 at Hope Central Campus from 11:00am to 12:30pm.
