Dear Parents,
My name is Sir Richard and I am the student principal for today. I went to visit the construction site and got to wear a hardhat. The working center is coming along very well. It is fun being with Ms. Joan because I get to watch her work and help her with getting her stuff like water and I got a doughnut (actually 2) this morning. It is fun playing piano in Ms. Joan's office, and I have to go out to eat now at Hometown. Thank you for this best day ever.
Sir Richard, Student Principal
Dear Parents,
What a beautiful day! Sir Richard did a great job running the school with me today and Miss Matilda is a wonderful student school secretary. It has been a really exciting day here. Our junior high students are now CPR certified as of today! Thank you Jackie B. for teaching us to help others. And our 4th and 5th grades students spread spring cheer to the neighborhood by giving out potted plants.
Time is flying by. The last two weeks are going to be very busy. Grades 2 through 8 will be on retreat May 22 at Camp Vista. If you would like to join us for Mass, please join us at 11:00 AM at Camp Vista in the chapel. The grounds are beautiful if you have never been there. Reminder - Students will need to bring a cold lunch.
We have Pre-school Promotion on Friday, May 31 at 8:30 AM in the church. Awards day for the rest of the students is also Friday, May 31, at 10:30 AM in the church. There is a Grab'n Go lunch available from Miss Tammy's kitchen if you are interested. Please see the paperwork sent home today with menu choices.
Mrs. Ninnemann will be retiring after this school year. We want to thank her for her dedication, time, and commitment to our students and school. You will be missed. May you be blessed in your retirement. We are in the process of hiring a new teacher so stay tuned for details in the upcoming weeks.
Mrs. Straub and Ms. Piatt will be retiring AGAIN from education. We have been so blessed to have such knowledgeable, experienced, teachers this year. We were beyond grateful to have both of them step up to help out at the last minute at the beginning of the school year. A huge thank you to both of them for helping us this past year. We have some wonderful applicants coming in so stay tuned for information.
Our new daycare will open at the beginning of September when school starts. We will be moving some classrooms around to allow for more classroom space as we grow. The last week of school may be a challenge with the start of construction on the east end of the school building for bathrooms and replacing some existing floors in classrooms, so please bear with us. It is only temporary and worth the short-term inconvenience. Thank you for your patience and cooperation. Please be extra careful on the playground with parking in front with the added congestion.
Enjoy the beautiful weather!
Ms. Schlaefer, Principal
