The Class of 2026 graduates today at 5:00 PM! Join us in celebrating our seniors and their families by watching the Commencement Ceremony livestream, and viewing photos from the Senior Sunset and Senior Balloon Drop celebrations. Congratulations, Class of 2026. We will miss you!

A Message from the Principal of Academics:

Dear Carondelet Community,

It is always a bittersweet time of year as we celebrate graduation today and say goodbye to an extraordinary group of seniors. The Class of 2026 earned 1,571 college acceptances to 262 different institutions, and this fall, they will attend 88 colleges and universities across the country and abroad. We are incredibly proud of all they have accomplished and look forward to welcoming them into our prestigious Alumnae Association, now more than 12,000 members strong.

While we celebrate our seniors, the school year is not quite over for the rest of our students. We have two weeks to go! Finals begin Friday, followed by a restful Memorial Day weekend before the final push and last round of exams.

A few important reminders as we close out the year:

  • The PowerSchool portal will remain open after finals so students may continue to view grades.
  • Please note that it may take a couple of weeks to process corrections, honors weighting, math placements, and any pre-approved late submissions that result in grade changes. Final transcripts for the year will be sent by Friday, June 12.
  • Preliminary schedules for next year will begin going out on a rolling basis starting Friday, June 5, beginning with seniors. Students who wish to request adjustments can schedule summer appointments with me through the Scheduling Hub on Schoology. Freshman families may email me directly with scheduling questions. Full instructions will be included with the initial schedule email.

Lots to celebrate, lots to finish, and much to look forward to in the months ahead.

2026–27 Retreat Date Assignments are Here!

This week, all families will receive an email with their student's assigned retreat date(s) for next year. While we do our best to honor each family’s first choice for dates, retreats are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. There is no need to confirm a student’s spot on the retreat date she’s been assigned. However, if you would like to request a retreat date change, you must do so by Friday, August 21, using the custom link provided in the email you received. Please reach out to Melyssa Sibal with questions or concerns.

College Counseling

Juniors:

  • Parents and Guardians, please take a moment to complete the Parent Survey in Maia. Your input is very helpful when College Counselors write letters of recommendation for your child. If you can’t remember how to log in, click Forgot Password and follow the prompts.
  • You can still sign up for the next session of College Kickstart, June 1–4. Students will work on college essays, the Common Application, and UC Personal Insight Questions. Learn more and register here. If the fee is a concern, please reach out to your College Counselor.
  • Registration is now live for all 2026–27 ACT test dates. This is a great time to map out a testing timeline and secure early fall dates for college applications. View the full schedule here.

Sophomores & Juniors:

  • The University of Pennsylvania shared some reminders if you are visiting colleges this summer:
  • Book early. Visit calendars tend to fill quickly, so students should check institutional websites now and secure spots as soon as schedules are available.
  • Be intentional. Encourage students to reflect on why they are visiting a particular campus. Are they hoping to get a first impression? Compare options? Speak with current students or faculty? A clear purpose helps them engage more thoughtfully.
  • Prepare questions in advance. Students may feel unsure about what to ask during a visit. Coming prepared with a few questions can help them feel more confident and ensure they gather the information most relevant to them.
  • Take notes. After several visits, details can blend together. Writing down impressions, highlights, and questions can make it easier to reflect later.
  • Explore virtual options. For students who are unable to travel, many institutions offer virtual information sessions and campus tours.
