Community E-News l 05.18.25 | |
The Class of 2025 and their families gathered on Thursday evening at Baccalaureate to reflect and share gratitude for their time at Carondelet. One of the beautiful moments during the Mass was when each graduate shared a photo that was meaningful to them, creating a Storybook of "The Pages We Lived."
Watch our social media, SmugMug, and next week's eNews (the final one for the 2024-25 school year) for more photos from Baccalaureate and Graduation.

A Bittersweet Moment, A Beautiful Launch |
Dear Carondelet Community,
Senior Graduation was Saturday. There’s something undeniably bittersweet about graduation. It’s a moment of great pride and celebration, yet it carries a quiet ache—a realization that this shared journey is diverging into a thousand unique paths.
This year, our graduates are spreading farther and wider than ever before. Some will cross international borders—heading to Canada and even Edinburgh—while others remain in California or venture to colleges across the country. Their destinations are as varied as their dreams: music conservatories and art schools, physics with aerospace studies, chemical engineering, pre-med and nursing programs, engineering and science tracks, the Naval Academy, and programs in business, psychology, law, political science, and history.
What unites them isn’t their destination—it’s their foundation. Each graduate carries with them the mission of the Sisters of St. Joseph: to meet the needs of the times with courage, compassion, and purpose. In their own ways, they will.
As we bid farewell to the Class of 2025, we turn our eyes to the students returning to campus next fall—and to the newest members of our community, the incoming Class of 2029. Just as our graduates forged their own paths, our rising sophomores, juniors, and seniors are doing the same—reflected in the wide range of courses and electives they’ve chosen through our scheduling process. From STEM to the arts, service learning to AP seminars, the diversity of interests is a testament to the individuality we strive to foster at Carondelet.
To help families plan, here’s a reminder of key schedule release dates for the 2025–26 school year:
-
Rising Seniors (Class of 2026): Thursday, June 5 (after College Kickstart)
-
Rising Juniors (Class of 2027): End of day Friday, June 6
-
Rising Sophomores (Class of 2028): End of day Wednesday, June 11
-
Incoming Freshmen (Class of 2029): Early Tuesday, June 3
Schedule adjustment appointments will run June 5–13, with additional opportunities during Orientation Days in August.
As always, thank you for partnering with us in guiding your daughters along their unique and unfolding journeys.
Elizabeth Chaponot, Ph.D.
Principal of Academics

Finals Schedule Update
Final exams will begin on Friday, May 23, and continue through the following week. During finals, students will be dismissed at 11:25 AM each day. (Please note: students with extended time may test beyond that, as needed.)
To support all learners, teacher office hours will be offered daily from 11:25 AM to 12:30 PM, not just Tuesday through Thursday. This gives students access to extra help, clarification, or encouragement throughout the entire finals period.
Thank you for helping your daughter plan ahead and take advantage of the support available during this important time.
