Community Update
Quail Creek Country Club POA
Dear Residents,
Governor Doug Ducey announced an extension to Arizona’s “Stay Home, Stay Healthy, Stay Connected,” on Thursday, April 29, 2020 while laying a step-by-step approach to “ Return Stronger .” The Executive Order also continues Arizona’s gradual reopening and to begin partial operations starting next week.

The latest order promotes engaging in outdoor exercise activities, but only if appropriate physical distancing practices are used, maintaining physical distancing at least six feet from any other person, consistent with guidance from the CDC.

We plan to put our strategic plan to use this coming week. Our General Manager, David Jones, will work with club presidents to reopen the dog park, tennis and pickleball courts. There will be signage at each location with rules from the Association and updates from the CDC. We will update the community next week on dates and times of operations for the above facilities.

Once these areas are open, we ask that pop-up sports, like pickleball, be discontinued in the streets. Please note that pop-up sport events had not been approved by the POA.

This phase-in period is a new process. We ask that users are understanding and patient. Failure to comply with the rules may cause the facility to be closed.

Even though the Governor’s April 29, 2020 Executive Order 2020-33 promotes outdoor activity, it does not mention the community pool which is desirable this time of year. The Executive Order from March 30 states, “Communal pools shall cease operations by 5 p.m. Saturday, April 4.” We have asked association attorneys for their input and they “do not recommend that community associations reopen their pools.”

The Madera Clubhouse renovation continues. Click here for Jeff Krueger’s latest photos from April 29, 2020.

With your help the resident team which formed to create the Quail Creek Employee Assistance fund surpassed the goal of $50k. The staff appreciates Andrew Rodriguez and other homeowners who created the GoFundMe account and to all who donated. Thank you!

Your Board of Directors and management staff want to assure the community that we will be open, informative, and absolutely transparent about the Coronavirus as it pertains to our community. The most important information we can provide is that as of Friday afternoon, May 1, 2020, we are not aware of any confirmed cases of the virus here in Quail Creek. That does not mean the virus is not present in our community. We continue to encourage everyone to practice safety first by adhering to CDC guidelines, especially frequent hand washing and social distancing, avoiding forming in groups of any size. It only takes one individual to pass the virus to family members or neighbors. When contacting others, maintain at least six feet of social distance, especially when you are out walking, biking, etc. We have seen numerous cases where this is not happening. We must take the guidelines about groups gathering and social distancing seriously.

If we are notified by a community member that they have a confirmed case, we are prohibited by law from giving out any specific identifying information about the person(s) involved. However, if a case is confirmed in our community, we will inform you. We also continue to remind people, including our staff and all homeowners, to stay home if you are feeling sick. Should anyone come down with the virus, they should self-quarantine in their home and seek medical attention as needed.

Below are some helpful links to assist us as we continue to fight against the virus.
