First, in this Monday Morning Messenger, the association further updates you on the pilot program we are conducting with the Railroad Commission to get inspection reports to members more quickly.
In our second story of the morning, in case you did not see it on Friday, there is a Texas hours or service waiver for fuel and propane due to recent severe storms that have impacted Texas.
Additionally, the propane industry has a very small window of opportunity to install improved technology in their homes and get a $1,600 rebate. Do not miss out on this rare opportunity. Find out more in this issue of the Messenger.
Also, the Texas propane industry will host a booth at the upcoming Texas Association of Builders Expo in Fort Worth this summer. Do not miss the deadline to get a free badge from the Propane Council of Texas.
Lastly, Allen is the host city for this year's Convention. Learn what you might not know about this Dallas metroplex town and the cool things you can do while you are there.
Check out our Quick Links section for fast access to the propane sales report, Propane Service Corporation forms, the magazine's convention guide, and all the training available at the Convention.

Each of your propane companies licensed with the Alternative Fuels Safety Division of the Railroad Commission of Texas has received an email from April Richardson of the Railroad Commission on your preference for email or text copies of inspection reports.
Please reply to April's email by May 22, 2024. Again, the RRC inspection reports will start being received by TPGA members on the same day as part of the pilot program that TPGA requested. This benefit is only being extended to members of the association at this time.
The inspection report notification program will begin June 1, 2024.
| Reminder: Hours of Service Waiver in Effect | |
|
Just a reminder that the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) has issued an hours-of-service waiver due to the recent storms that have battered Texas.
The declaration of this emergency provides relief from Title 49, CFR, Part 395.3 (maximum driving time for property-carrying vehicles) of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations for motor carriers in Texas, providing direct assistance to disaster relief in the State of Texas. This includes, but is not limited to, power grid repairs and delivery of groceries, fuel, propane, and other essential products.
The waiver is from May 17, 2024, to May 22, 2024.
