By contributing to Compass Center, you have the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of women and families who benefit from our programs and services.  One of those programs is Teens Climb High, providing medically accurate sexual health information and life skills training to middle school students in local schools. 

Compass Center has delivered Teens Climb High to schools for more than 17 years. Compass Center Partners with UNC to Assess Services for Domestic Violence Survivors

Rebecca Macy and Assistant  Professor Cynthia Fraga Rizo are partnering with the  Orange County Rape Crisis Center (OCRCC), the Compass Center for Women and Families, and UNC  Hospitals' Beacon Program to evaluate the county's  efforts to tackle domestic violence and to explore  possible solutions to unmet needs. Compass Center Family Day

On Saturday, April 30th, Compass Center for Women and Families in partnership with the Junior League of Durham and Orange Counties hosted a Family Day for participants of the Teens Climb High Program. Participants and their families engaged in a number of activities that provided information on health, nutrition, and healthy relationships in a fun and relaxed environment. Special thanks to the volunteers of the Junior League of Durham and Orange Counties for making this event possible and providing support to our clients. 
GET INVOLVED! Volunteer Support Group Facilitators Needed!

Compass Center is looking for Volunteer Support Group Facilitators to lead groups such as domestic violence, divorce and separation, and self-esteem. We encourage applicants from diverse backgrounds and are especially looking for volunteers with bi-lingual fluency in English and Spanish, as well as, individuals passionate about working with LGBTQ survivors of domestic violence. We will be offering a comprehensive 7-week  training meeting on Tuesday evenings  starting in June 2016 for new Volunteer  Facilitators . Please apply online at .

Compass Center is thrilled to partner this year with Wheels4Hope, a Raleigh-based non-profit organization dedicated to helping individuals purchase affordable vehicles and reach their self-sufficiency goals. Wheels4Hope accepts vehicle donations year-round, and many of these vehicles become program cars - valued in the $2,000-$4,000 range- which a limited number of eligible individuals referred by Compass Center and other partner agencies can purchase for $500 plus tax/tag/title fees.
