We are looking for dynamic individuals who are "foodies" and are excited about healthy living and cooking, natural gourmet ingredients, customer service and training, and Vita Sana's quality Extra Virgin Olive Oils (EVOOs), Modena, Italy Balsamic Vinegars, and gourmet-related spices, salts, pastas, cheeses, and meats.  We are in the process of securing our retail wine sales license, thus adding high quality wine varietals from the same world regions as our EVOOs to our product lines, so candidates must 21 years old to meet the minimum legal age limit to sale alcohol.

3 Salads for on the Go!
Tomato, Avocado, Cucumber Salad
This salad is great because you can skip the lettuce, which can be tiresome if you are a regular salad eater.  The tomato, cucumber, and avocado each bring their own texture to the party, and the red onion adds a little zing. Go ahead, drizzle your  Lavender Balsamic and Persian Lime Olive Oil on this salad at home and have no  fear that it will become a vegetable mush by lunch.   

Mason Jar Salad
If your out of the loop and haven't heard about packing your salads in mason jars its time for you to catch up! Mason jars happen to be the perfect size and shape to keep slimy 
spinach off the menu, but even better you can make these salads ahead of time for the whole week! So here's the 411 The secret is to start with the dressing. Put the desired amount on the bottom of the jar, then your
 crunchy toppings go in next, i.e. carrots, peppers, beans, onions you get the point.

Next comes your greens, protected by all those tasty topping from  the dressing and last proteins and cheese.  When its time for lunch shake gently or pour
and you have a nice crisp salad!

Cheese Serving and Storage Tips
  • Unpasteurized cheese with a range of flavours should not be sliced until purchase otherwise it will start to lose its subtlety and aroma.
  • Keep the cheese in conditions in which it matures. Hard, semi-hard and semi-soft cheeses are stored in the temperatures from around 8 - 13 C.
  • Keep the cheese wrapped in the waxed paper and place it in a loose-fitting food-bag not to lose humidity and maintain the circulation of air.
  • Wrap blue cheeses all over as mould spores spread readily not only to other cheeses but also to everything near.
  • Chilled cheeses should be taken out of the refrigerator one and a half or two hours before serving.
  • Cheeses contain living organisms that must not be cut off from air, yet it is important not to let a cheese dry out.
  • Do not store cheese with other strong-smelling foods. As a cheese breathes it will absorb other aromas and may spoil.
  • Wrap soft cheeses loosely. Use waxed or greaseproof paper rather than cling film.
  • Let cold cheese warm up for about half an hour before eating to allow the flavour and aroma to develop.

Asian Noodle Linguini
Garlic, ginger, onion and soy over our usual soft wheat flour base. Makes for an authentic, well-balanced Asian taste -- not spicy, but flavorful.

Perfect for chicken or beef stirfrys or cold noodle salads. Companionable with all the usual Asian accoutrements: ginger, garlic, rice wine vinegar, hoisin, soy, and siracha sauces. Toss with marinated cucumber and onion and garnish with sesame seeds and cilantro... delicious!
