It's no secret that Facebook has set its sights on television, and now its creative teams are courting Hollywood talent for its next big thing.
Facebook's career page recently listed openings for a movie producer, film software engineer, and production lead. Though content details are vague, the social network has been entertaining pitches for 5-10 minute web series to rival those of competitor Snapchat, in addition to more traditional, larger budget programs.
Thanks to streaming services like Netflix and Hulu producing their own dynamic and critically-acclaimed content, the motion picture and television landscape has been in a continuous state of flux for some time. With its more than 1 billion daily active users, Facebook's foray into the medium is sure to have a memorable impact.
